I.                   Answer the following:                                                                       (9 x 2=18)

 

1.     A car travels 367.80 km in 6 hours. How much distance will it travel in 1 hour?

2.     The daily consumption of milk in a house is 3.25 litres. How much milk will be consumed in 30 days?

3.     Duration of sunshine in Aligarh city for one week of August 2002 is given as 12.20 hours, 12.18 hours, 12.17 hours, 12.15 hours, 12.13 hours, 12.12 hours, 12.10 hours. Find the average duration of sunshine.

4.   Solve the following:

(i) Add 35 kg 250 g and 4 kg 150 g

(ii) Subtract 19 kg 600 g from 23 kg 900 g

5.    A tetra pack contains 250 mℓ of juice. How many such packs are needed to fill a jug of capacity 2 ℓ?

7.    The perimeter of a square is 60 cm. Find out the area of the square.

8.   A rectangular field is 70 m 50 cm long and 40 m wide. What is the cost of watering it at 5 rupees per square meter?

9.   Find the area of the triangle:



II.         Answer the following:                                                    (4 x 3 =12)

1.   Which is a better buy?

3 lollipops for Rs. 7.55

2 cadies for Rs. 4.82

2.   A woman covers a distance of 65 cm in one step. How many steps does she take to walk 78 metres.

3.   Construct an angle 120 degrees using a ruler and a pair of compasses.

4.   Devanshi spread a carpet of length 7m and breadth of 5m in a room of length 9m and breadth of 6m. How much area will be left uncarpeted?
